Setup

We configure the right lathe, twin spindle, Y-axis, or live tooling, based on your part geometry and production requirements.

Machining

Your part runs on Mori Seiki, Nakamura, Hardinge, Doosan, or Okuma equipment, with the programmer available throughout the run.

Inspection

Every turning order ships with documented inspection using Geo Met 101 and CMM Manager. Nothing leaves NTM without a record.

Can one shop handle turning from prototype to production?

Yes, and at NTM, both run on the same floor with the same team. There's no gap between the programmer who built your prototype and the machinist running production. If a drawing needs to change between the two, we make that adjustment before a single production part runs.

Twin spindle lathes run two spindles simultaneously, machining both ends of a part in one setup. Y-axis capability adds lateral movement to mill, drill, and contour features off-center. Live tooling allows rotating tools to run directly on the lathe, eliminating secondary operations. NTM runs all three across 10 lathes.

Yes. Prototype and production both run on the same floor with the same team. If you have a part that's never been made before, we build the drawing in SolidWorks with you, work through programming, and move into production when you're ready.
